Weekend Update 11/3/18: Is a General Strike in Our Future?

Growing 99% Militance Terrifies the 1% and Its Ruling Class Vassals

(Important Notice: given the reawakening of U.S. Working Class consciousness and the increasing violence of the JesuNazi/fascist response, I am once again going to attempt publishing Dispatches on a twice-weekly basis, with projected publication days late Thursday (to accommodate the newest material from Black Agenda Report) and late Saturday (to include material withheld until late Friday in the regime's hope of it being obscured by weekend distractions). I don't know if I will be able to continue this schedule, as when I attempted it last year, it was constantly interrupted by other obligations. However, the most time-consuming of those obligations is no more. This was the editing, writing, photographing and designing of a monthly newsletter for the senior housing complex where I live, but the newsletter has since been killed by lack of printing funds, which in effect gains me all those days to work on Dispatches -- enough time, I hope, to make this twice-weekly schedule permanent.--LB.)

        

"In the wake of the unions’ shutting down of a nine-day strike by 33,000 West Virginia public school employees on 6 March, there are growing calls for strikes and protests by teachers and other sections of the Working Class throughout the United States, which are threatening to break free from the control of the trade unions...placing (workers) in direct conflict with the entire Ruling Class and the Democratic (sic) and Republican parties." Comment: the question -- ultimately the only question in terms of the revolutionary potential of U.S. workers' new-found militance -- is whether the Ruling Class and their political allies (who include the JesuNazis and the fascists in general), will be able to resurrect an identity politics toxic enough to head off the 99 Percenters'  evolving solidarity.

                                        

"American 'progressives' are divided over the politics of class and identity...(but) can the demands of class warfare and identity politics be reconciled into a common political program that speaks to the vast majority of Americans?" Comment: as I said in the foregoing.
 

         

Meanwhile, the JesuNazi Onslaught Continues Unabated

Comment: thus -- in response to our increasing solidarity and militance --  the One Percenters impose on us a regimen of zero-tolerance oppression so savage it will make all previous tyrannies seem mild in comparison.  Wake up, people; just as I have argued for decades, the Internet was never the electronic freedom road it was portrayed as being. Indeed it is only now fulfilling its always-intended purpose of sustaining Capitalism by total surveillance and total censorship.
