She was sitting at a sidewalk-cafe table in the Village, and later when I made her a print (and forever afterward), she said she cherished it as the best portrait anyone ever made of her.

I would love to have a copy when you scan it, and thank you for so offering.

But there's one problem: how do I get my email address to you without exposing it to the world?

Here's one possibility: take the first letter of the working title of your mother's unpublished novel as a substitute for the letter A and re-number the alphabet accordingly. (Say for example that first letter were D; then D would equal A, E=B, F=C, G=D, H=E, I=F etc. It's called a substitution code, and it should suffice to provide the requisite security.)

Hence if you do know the name of that work, say so (obviously without naming the name), and I'll send you my email address via this space and thusly encoded.

Meanwhile it is good to be in touch. I suspect we might have rather a bit to talk about.

Thank you so very much,

Loren Bliss Loren Blisshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13654529807660322521noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8544880382094564733.post-3184020083169870112014-10-18T11:28:08.871-07:002014-10-18T11:28:08.871-07:00I have been meaning to contact you for awhile now....I have been meaning to contact you for awhile now.
